Background and Experience:
Over 25 years of school experience including:
- Teaching Secondary Design and Technology then Primary for 20 years
- Experienced Subject Leader, Deputy Head, SENCO, and Head teacher
- Experienced NQT Mentor
- More recently I have been a school based Implementation Lead and an Evidence Lead in Education for the Ipswich Opportunity Area
- In my previous role as IOA School Lead, I have supported and reported on the implementation process of initiatives -Talk for Writing, Read Write Inc. and Phonics during 2019/2020. I then implemented Thrive and SWERL- Supporting Wellbeing and Emotional Resilience for Leaning during 2020/21. I have continued to conduct Performance Management for teaching and support staff. I have set up a model of coaching and supporting foundation subject leaders. I have completed NQT and ECT Coaching and Mentoring training (through CUREE). Most recently I have engage with the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) Making Best Use of Teaching Assistants’ guidance for future school implementation by my host school.
- Since 2020, through consultancy work for the IOA I have completed Evidence Lead in Education training and supported numerous IOA schools with the EEF implementation guidance.
