The Evidence Based Practice Fund was set up to encourage schools in the local area to engage with current research in order to improve outcomes for young people; in particular, we aimed to improve attainment for disadvantaged pupils by embedding Evidence Based Practice in the teaching of English and Maths.
29 projects were given final approval over six rounds of bidding, with funding of up to £25,000 per project to implement the use of selected appropriate Evidence Based Practice within their schools. Excitingly, some of these even built new networks and links across schools, as some Trusts, academies, schools and providers implemented projects that involved a range of partnerships.
